An account that can't send messages or get added to groups is not necessarily banned for good. Telegram has different levels of restriction, and each has its own solution.
Types of account restrictions in Telegram
â ī¸ Spam block
Temporary restriction on messages to strangers. Lasts from a few hours to several days. Account still works in existing chats.
đĢ Restriction
Broader limitation â no joining groups, no contacting strangers. Often shows a timestamp: "restricted until âĻ".
âī¸ Freeze
Account is temporarily suspended. Can't send messages anywhere. Usually resolves after a waiting period.
â Full ban
Account permanently deleted by Telegram. Not recoverable. Need a new number and account.
How to check the restriction type via @SpamBot
- Open @SpamBot in Telegram and press Start.
- The bot shows the current account status. If there's a restriction, it will show the reason and end date.
- If you believe the restriction is wrong, tap "No, this is a mistake" to submit a request for review.
- Wait 24â48 hours and check again.
âšī¸ @SpamBot responds immediately. If it says "No limits are imposed," the account is clean â the problem may be with the Telegram client, not the account itself.
Warmup schedule to avoid repeat restrictions
- đ Days 1â3: zero activity. Just open the app and read.
- đ Days 4â7: add a profile photo, write a bio, set a username. Join 5â10 thematic groups and write a few messages.
- đ Days 8â14: gradually increase activity. Reply to people, join new groups, start 1â2 cold conversations per day.
- đ Day 22+: the account is stable and ready for regular outreach without risk.
If the account is frozen: step-by-step
- Check via @SpamBot â find out the exact end date of the restriction.
- Don't try to "break through" the restriction by sending mass messages â it will make things worse.
- Wait the indicated period, then do a minimal warmup (see above).
- If the restriction persists after the end date, contact Telegram support at recover.telegram.org.
â ī¸ Important: a full ban (account permanently deleted by Telegram) cannot be appealed. In that case you need a new phone number and a fresh account. That's why prevention is always better than recovery.
How Ghost Systems prevents account freezes
The platform includes a built-in warmup mode: before starting outreach, each account automatically completes a safe ramp-up cycle. Tasks only launch once an account has reached the required trust level.
